The finance department is responsible for effectively maintaining the financial administration of the municipality and overseeing its resources. The fiscal responsibilities of this department include maintaining and managing the general ledger, financial records, grant records, debt service and investments, accounts payable/receivables, as well as adherence to the municipal budget.

The finance Department maintains the custody of all local funds, implements the cash management policy to achieve interest maximization on investments and the timely disbursing of funds.
